This is an adventure novel about ghosts and monsters in the northeast. It is mainly about an adventure story in the early 20th century, when the old China was in chaos. A pampered young man from the capital escaped from the Guanzhong region and entered the mysterious primeval forest in the northeast, where he joined the local hunting people to dig for ginseng and get rich. While digging for ginseng, mysterious events happened one after another around them: the Tiger God Temple, Sun Liang, the guardian deity of Changbai Mountain, various strange customs of ginseng digging, tigers, leopards, wolves and bears in the primeval forest, and ferocious carnivorous plants...In addition to digging for ginseng, fighting wits and brawn with ginseng collectors and having head-on conflicts with robbers and bandits were a common occurrence for them. In the end, the lure of great wealth made the ginseng digging group set their sights on the number one ginseng demon in Changbai - the "blood ginseng". A showdown was inevitable, with countless casualties on both sides. The ginseng digging group, which had suffered great losses, decided to quit the ginseng digging business.
