Beschreibung

Coping With Early-Stage Dementia is the true story about the author, John M. Capozzi who had a wonderful life and an exceptional business career. At age 80 he was diagnosed with early-stage dementia. Because he spent much of his life in research for business, he decided to do extensive research into "how to slow down the progression of his disease". This book identifies much of his life where he was super sharp and successful, but then it goes into great detail how anyone who is also diagnosed with early-stage dementia can also slow down the progress of the disease.  It also identifies foods that can hurt the brain and foods that can help the brain.  Further, it's a book for older people who are starting to have normal memory problems that just come from an older age. But most importantly, it's a book that I hope might also help those family members or caregivers who are helping people with both early-stage dementia and perhaps Alzheimer's. The author proactively confronted his condition and developed ways that are enabling him to maintain a life that historically was incredibly successful. More importantly, ways that might be of great value to others who have been diagnosed with the same illness or to those caregivers of other early-stage dementia patients who have also recently been diagnosed.
