"e;It is well-known that frontier archaeology is an important part of Chinese archaeology, possessing unique value due to its geographical scope and cultural characteristics. Heilongjiang archaeology is one of the frontier archaeologies in China. The results obtained from archaeological excavations have become historical testimonies to the formation of our unified multi-ethnic nation and are physical evidence of the Chinese national territory, recreating the history of the formation of a multi-ethnic state with the Han nationality as the main body in the Heilongjiang region and the Northeast border. This book is based on the practical work of archaeology in the Heilongjiang region during the 20th century, covering a timeline from the Paleolithic Age to the Qing Dynasty, and spatially focusing on the three major areas of the Songnen Plain, the Sanjiang Plain, and the Mudanjiang and Suifenhe river basins within modern Heilongjiang. It summarizes and generalizes the data collected, the achievements made, and the understanding gained over a century.
