This vintage book contains a collection of lectures on the revelation of Jesus Christ, written by J. A. Seiss and first published in 1869. The lectures focus on the idea of the Apocalypse, exploring its meaning, importance, chronology, and much more. Contents include: "The Preface, Scope, Contents, Derivation, Value, and Preciousness of the Apocalypse", "The Apostolic Introduction to the Apocalypse, and its Several Important Allusions", "The First Vision-A Picture of the Saviour in His relation to the Churches", "Supplementary Declarations, Touching the Character and Prerogatives of Christ", "The Seven Churches-Meaning of Numbers-The Seven Ages of the Church", etc. Joseph Augustus Seiss (March 18, 1823 - June 20, 1904) was an American theologian and Lutheran minister most famous for his contributions to pyramidology and dispensationalism. His best-known work is "The Great Pyramid of Egypt, Miracle in Stone: Secrets and Advanced Knowledge" (1877), considered a primary text of pyramidology. Many vintage books such as this are becoming increasingly scarce and expensive.
