Uncovering the true nature of the universe is not the goal of astronomer John Thomas's illicit project. It just happens to be the outcome. When he decides to discuss his findings with religious leaders before presenting them to his scientific peers, the Vatican hierarchy takes control. The Cardinal Prefect coerces John Thomas to remain silent and work with the Vatican Observatory Research Group (VORG) to examine and refine the details of his findings. When John begins to stray, the Vatican and other powerful entities conspire to prevent him from infecting humanity with a long protected and forbidden ancient knowledge.
