When his wife's doctor suggests they move to a warmer climate, he spends everything he has on a property that ends up not being what he expected.
Joanna Grenham has dreams of being a school teacher. When an opportunity presents itself, she jumps at the chance, only to find herself given no choice but to care for Irvin's sick wife and child.
