Beschreibung

Magnificent sky-cities pierce the clouds, powered by volatile aetherium, leaving a rust-choked wasteland below. Humanity is fractured: the opulent elite above and the resourceful Sky Nomads navigating the treacherous air currents. But the aetherium is dwindling, tearing at the planet's magnetic field and painting the polar skies with apocalyptic auroras.
Rylor Grint, a brilliant scavenger haunted by a refinery explosion that claimed his family, believes he holds the key to survival: a revolutionary vacuum harpoon engine. He envisions a future free from the Iron Empires' control, a future where the scarred skies can heal. But his obsession could shatter the world.
Maelis Thorne, a disgraced cartographer, believes Rylor’s engine will tear apart the Aetherian Divide, a mythical region of the upper atmosphere she believes holds the shattered atmosphere together, not boundless energy.  She joins Rylor’s expedition aboard *The Sky Serpent*, not to guide him to power, but to steer him away from oblivion.
Their ragtag crew, led by the grizzled airship captain Janice Valentine,  ascends through layers of swirling clouds, facing sky pirates, treacherous air currents, and the escalating tensions between the Iron Empires.  As they climb higher, strange bioluminescent flora illuminate the increasingly violent auroras, and the ghostly wrecks of shattered airships serve as a stark warning.
Rylor’s conviction wavers.  The Divide is not a source of power, but a fragile membrane holding their world together.  Caught between his dream and a looming catastrophe, he must choose: harness the Divide’s power and risk destroying everything, or sacrifice his life’s work and the hope it represents.  His choice will decide the fate of the skies, and the future of their fractured world.
